With your cat knowing the mouse is in the house it is only a matter of time before the cat will catch it.

Your cat will probably make a gift of this critter, dead, when you least expect it! Might find in near you one morning when you wake up or something.  ;D

Check out Lowes for a humane way to catch the mouse.  The poor kitty is going to go nuts trying to catch the thing.  who knows maybe the cat chased it out of the house!

we live next to a field so it has always been a problem keeping mice out.  we finally bought these little electronic boxes that plug into outlets for like 20 bucks each.  we put one on each end of the house and haven't seen any mice since, and that was over a year ago.  maybe you could try that?

my sister inlaw has a raccoon or really big rat  she swears it a ghost that keeps getting in the trash and stealing her food and moving things but i found a big hole in the ducts and i think she visited by animals not spirits

Good deduction!! I don't think 'spirits' would be all that interested in stealing food stuffs out of the garbage! ;D

I already have 2 of those, but I did set some traps and have caught 3 so far I hope that is all of them. I told the cat it needed to earn it's keep!

In deed he will! And he will most likely offer it up as a gift hahaha !
