do you prefer cars or taking public transportation

i couldn't live with out my car public transportation just takes longer and yes i know it is better for the planet but my car is my way to get out when i need to go

I prefer cars to public transportation as I have been in both. I like that with a car overall it's cheaper than public transit since you can buy it outright and not have to get tickets and passes all the time to get to your destination. You can pay your gas and upkeep and never have to depend on a bus that will be late or pass you by  or a route that won't go where you need it. You also can get farther than with a cab when you compare the pricing per mile and not have to depend on when and if the bus show up as you can leave when you want. So I will always prefer a car.

Depends on the commute... I could drive to my university but I will save more (and my car)if I take public transportation.... My university is right next to the train station so it isn't bad... Also I don't have to worry about traffic

I prefer a car over public transportation.  Our bus service here is not the best.  If I would want to go to the mall, I have to drive 2 miles to the closest bus stop, get on the bus and it will take me to town.  I then have to get a transfer and wait for another bus to take me to the mall.  It's that way going most places, better and easier to just drive.

I like walking and riding the bus.  I can save money since I sold my car and I no longer pay for auto insurance, annual inspections, registration and so on....

I like knowing that the cost of gasoline is no longer a big deal.  I can do that because I live in a small town and I enjoy keeping everything simple.

I perfer car. Feel like public transportation takes forever to get to your destination. And its  only 15 mins away!

We do not have public transportation where I live.  If you don't have your own vehicle, you walk or ride a bike.

I think it depends on the situation. I will drive almost anywhere but in the city. I don't know where I am going and I'd rather take the train, path or subway to get around an area like that

     I prefer my car...so I am not stranded waiting for a bus!

For any short trips or running daily errands -- a car

For a long trip -- public transportation, either a train or airplane

It all depends on where I am going, if I live in a big city where there is nothing but public transportation I will use that to get where I need to go at a shorter distance  but if I am traveling somewhere long distance I would prefer to take the car

We live in a rural area. I always use my car. I could never live in the city, and can't see myself using public transportation.
