The greatest amount of children you know of born to one couple

I went to my mother in-law's funeral today.  I thought I married the 10th of 13 children.  She actually had 16 children (8 boys, 8 girls) and four of them preceded her in death from her first husband.  Her husband who was at the funeral had 9 children.  She left behind 12 children (6 boys, 6 girls), 38 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, 13 great great grandchildren and I have never been to a funeral where it was so many family members, they actually had to put people out of the church.  She is the third person I knew that had more children than 4.  I know a man who has 28 children and a couple in Chicago who parented 28.  Who in your family had the greatest amount of children?

Wow! that is a lot of children! No one that I know of in my family has had a lot of kids. If I am remembering right , the most is 3. I knew a lady when I was growing up who had 12. But as for me and my 3 that is enough! I just don't see how anyone can handle that many at once!

A friend of my mother-in-law had 15 children. They are all very close. She told my daughter that one never had to worry about being alone if they had a lot of children.

So my daughter had 9 children!  10 if you count the one who is in Heaven now.

My grandma had 7 kids, that's the most I know personally.

My great grandparents on my fathers side early settlers of the Oregon Territory had 18 children.

i believe my great grandparents on my moms side had 15 children.  I thought that was a lot of kids to feed  LOL  But then I have heard of others that have had huge families  LOL  More power to them is all I can say

The Duggars have 19 kids dpn't know them but watch the show.I believe they couldn't do it with out the help of the older girls and the money they get from the show.They are religious also sure that helps some,but can't even imagine.

My gr grandmother had 15 children but I don't know of anyone with that big of a family today.

I forget who in my ancestors had the most. But on my mom's side with her brother most was 5 same with my step dad's side as well... course one of my cousins had her fifth one last year so he will be turning one rather soon... it's amazing how some families grow while others do not....

A childhood friend was one of 13 children.
One of my best friends is  the oldest of 10 children. She says she was changing diapers at the age of 5 years old!

We are 10 children of my parents. I watched also a show Duggar's show they have 19 children and the mother had her miscarriage for the 20th.

I myself am one of 7 children born to the same mom and dad.

My grandmother on my mom's side was one of 14 children.
