Yeah honestly animals should be treated nice too. Just because we can not hear what they are saying does not mean we can treat them badly.

I think no animal deserves to be abused  god gave us these loving animals and we should treat them with love and respect

This is an issue that really breaks my heart.

If i had enuff faith contributions would go to a worthy cause i wouldnt mind donating. But in this world you dont know what you can trust.

Only will stuff like this stop is when God decides to end the present system we have now.Bible addresses this.

In Jehovah’s new world, people will be able to touch the furry mane of a lion, to stroke the striped coat of a tiger and, yes, to sleep in the woods without fear of any animal doing them harm. Notice this promise of God: “I shall certainly cause the injurious wild beast to cease out of the land, and they [humans] will actually dwell in the wilderness in security and sleep in the forests.”—Ezekiel 34:25; Hosea 2:18.

Indeed, wild animals will then be in submission, even to little children! The Bible says: “The wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them.”

But that is not all! The scripture continues: “The cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down. And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of the cobra; and upon the light aperture of a poisonous snake will a weaned child actually put his own hand. They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain; because the earth will certainly be filled with the knowledge of Jehovah as the waters are covering the very sea.”—Isaiah 11:6-9.

Any "human being" (and I use those words lightly) who could abuse/hurt/kill a baby/child or animal needs to have done to them what they put out.  What goes around, comes around.  I've read some truly disgusting news articles about what these freaks of nature do to children and animals.  I would never hurt a fly, but these people, I could see myself doing some serious damage to and would thoroughly enjoy it, too.

I feel strongly about any living thing getting abused...spouses, kids, plants, animals, employees-there just really isn't a place for it in my life and I have admonished total strangers if I find that they are abusing another living organism.  I am a carnivore but I only buy meats/fish/poultry that have come from farms that have passed humanity tests. I have also cut my intake of animal products down to three times a week. My daughter became a vegetarian and has stuck with it for two years so I cut back out of respect for her. I think that people should have to take classes and a test before becoming parents or pet owners because so many of them do not realize how much of a commitment there is in taking care of another creature and how much damage can be done to a ward that is abused...even mentally.

This is something that I feel strongly about as well. It devastates me when I see and hear stories about animals being abused.

I think anyone who abuses an animal (or even a child, for that matter) should have the same thing done back to them. I honesty think we would have a lot less crime in this country if people were subjected to the whole "eye for an eye, tooth for a tooth" thing. I know I personally would be a bit more reluctant to commit a crime if I knew I was going to get the same treatment back.

I completely agree. I am a huge animal lover and do everything I can to fight for animals. I am a vegetarian and one day I might become vegan because there is just too much animal cruelty in this world.

Let us not talk about plant and animal abuse. Let us talk about "human cruelty and abuse". It really exists...and we have tried every remedy and not completely succeeded.

I'm glad to see everyone else so strongly against animal abuse. My sister, mother and I have always been big animal lovers and involved in issues effecting them. I don't have the money for it now, but for years I regularly donated to several different rescues and shelters and organizations. Animals deserve just as much protection, love and care as humans do. :dog: :cat:

I have no patience with anyone who will abuse animals no matter what kind of animal it is.  I have a cat and she is a part of the family.

I know, when I see the animal abuse commercials on tv, it breaks my heart. I struggle to get images of shaking dogs, and animals with their ribs showing out of my mind. In the UK we use to have a program called Pet Rescue which was slightly tamer than the commercials we see here. It did show pet rescues which were unbearable to see, but it also documented the care and medical help they needed and even followed the pets through rehabilitation and rehoming. It was so wonderful to see what used to be a scrawny, helpless, caged animal move onto a new home where they are loved and cared for to the extreme. It was such a beautiful sight to see them running free behind their new owners, rolling in the grass and chasing birds. NOt all of the animals made it through to total health, but it was great to see the wonderful work that people put in to correct the damage done.
