What is your bedtime routine to help you sleep?
« on: July 17, 2017, 07:04:26 pm »
I try to eat a little light snack and a cup of warm tea for relaxation. Do you exercise before you sleep? Does it relax you or the other way around?

I am fortunate to lay my head on the pillow and fall asleep without any prior routine.
My husband likes to put on headphones and listen to soothing music....sleep noise.

I combine the two together!  My wife usually reads a book and then turns on the TV for night noise.  I like to listen to talk radio or music, so I usually put on headphones and sometimes an eye mask to block out the TV light.  But once my head hits the pillow, I often don't get past the first song before I am asleep.

A big bowl of chocolate ice cream and put the channel on shows I really want to see. That does it every time! I never get to see the programs I chose. I wake up after they're over.

I tried going without the ice cream and only put the channel i want to watch on TV, but it doesn't work. I'm wide awake, so it's back to the ice cream plus. :)

I like to play on my phone for a little while.  My routine had been good but this week I can't fall asleep very easily and can't stay asleep.  Hoping that's not going to last.

I take two natural sleep aids and then read until I get sleepy. Then I turn on an audio book to read me a story while I fall asleep.

Needs to be in just a shirt in the summer and have it cool in the room or I'll wake up. :snowflake:

Winter is a slightly different routine. Need lost of blankets, donchano.

I do not have a routine. Go to bed when I am tired. However, I never sleep well maybe I need to find something to help me but I do not want to take sleeping aids.

I will read or color sometimes before bed because it helps me to relax.
