Something about a Particular Word or Proper Name
« on: September 13, 2017, 12:37:42 pm »
When you read or hear a certain word or proper name, does it strangely make you think or think about an unrelated noun or concept? Whenever I hear, read, or remember hearing of or reading the word aurora, I tend to think of that as something golden because aurum means "gold" in Latin which is also where the element gets its chemical abbreviation Au.

No, this discussion isn't supposed to do with chemistry. (Sorry!) I was asking if you have read or heard of any word or Proper Name that reminds you of what seems like a direct connection. For example, the name Agnes always reminds my mother of eggs.

I probably do, but I can't bring any to mind.
