I hate it when that happens, and it tends to be an expensive-ish item, too. Grrrrr.

Yes, but thankfully it doesn't happen often. Last time it was only one item, but it was a few pounds of fresh meat... they were nice enough to credit back my card (since the store was a good 20 minutes away) and even sent me an additional gift card for neglecting to put the bag in my cart.

The worst part is when it's the cashier's fault. I bought a birthday card -- I wanna say it was around $10 -- and the cashier put it next to her register rather than in my bag. So, it was totally her fault, I left and went all the way home. No card!! I went back, and the woman at the customer service desk was like "You forgot your card."

"No, I didn't forget the cart. The cashier forgot it!!"

But I live in a small town where customer service is often horrible so it's not surprising. Just annoying!!

NO, I would probably let go if a small item and just pick up next time but if it was more pricey I would call the store.

It happens to me more often than I would like to admit. Fortunately I don't live too far from grocery stores.

When I go to a store, I carry a list.  If I didn't I would not purchase the item that I went there for.  Yes, there were times that I may have forgotten, but never went back to pick it up.

I once found a case of water under a carriage that someone left . That is so bulky I can't see how they forgot that :peace:

I shop almost every day because there is a limited amount I can carry in so if I was to be missing something I would take my receipt in and tell them the next time I went in - rarely happens but I have shopped at my store so many years they always take my word for everything.

I usually call the store. They ask what register I was on and then they tell me yes, it's here. It happens to me a lot at Walmart lol They just save it for me next time...
