Doing something nice for myself like taking a hot shower, getting a pedicure, going shopping. :) Also meditating helps a lot when I fee blue. It get's me back on track and I feel more balanced. Hope everything is okay. :)

Nothing much. For me, personal mood doesn't matter that much because everything passes eventually.

I never used to be sad much.... but it seems people now days are just plain CRANKY and MEAN and could care less, we are in new times and it's not just you feeling sad, I'm also feeling blue and  the fact there is no loyalty in friendships these days is what i'm blaming it on.

I think of happy moments in life! Do something that makes you happy, like a movie or shopping. If you have friends talk to them they might help!

I wish I could help you with this but I don't know how to as it seems for the past few months I stay in a state of sadness. I have always been a happy upbeat person even though I had a lot of difficulty in my life but I struggle now with being able to be that old person I feel all alone in the world.  So with that said the only thing that gives me hope and that may not be your thing is to trust God that he has my life in his hands and that there is a reason for everything.  It is still hard but I am determined to hang in there and I hope you can as well.

Hi everyone, I don't mean to be a Debbie downer. With the holidays here I am missing Mom & Dad and all my passed loved ones. (as i'm sure many of you are missing yours as well.....This thing though going on with my daughter and I is really getting me down. I miss her and my 3 Grandkids. I just keep thinking back on where did I go wrong as a parent. 2018 i'm going to make a promise to my self and give EVERYTHING up to God, what is to be will be, so they say. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for showing you care about what has been  going on with me these last few years...pity party over lol....fingers crossed anyways :)

I find if I re-direct myself to doing something productive and accomplishing a task, I can lift my spirits. I also raise money for charity and that makes me feel good. I was on an anti-depressant for the past three years and weaned myself off it two months ago. I don't feel any different now than I did on the medication. When I am out and about, I say hello to people, smile at them, hold doors for them. I feel that surprises some people but I most generally receive a positive response. Focus on having a positive attitude, don't sweat the small stuff and try not to worry about things out of your control. I hope this helps anyone feeling sad or blue. Have a blessed day!  ;D ;D ;D

Are you sad or depressed?  Make sure that if it lasts very long you speak with your doctor as meds can help depression a great deal.  If you are simply sad, sometimes you just have to look at what might be making you sad and give yourself permission to go with the feeling for awhile.  However, at some point you need to pull yourself out. Get out and enjoy your friends and family.  Reward yourself in simple easy ways from a bubble bath to spending an afternoon in a bookstore, for example.  Also, each day make a list of 5 things you are grateful for.  Read it.  Read it the next day after you have added the next 5.  Keep it up until you see that life could be a whole lot worse and you have reasons to be happy!

A brisk walk in the fresh air can help the mood and gets you some exercise in for the day.   Like others have said, music that makes you feel good.   Volunteer at the hospital and ask if you can work in the nursery or with some sick children.  Go to the dollar store and buy some small little things and bring them to your local shelter.

Remove or avoid the source of sadness.

I either go shopping or I go to visit my grandchildren. My grandchildren can put a smile on my face everyday.
