Evaluating Employees
« on: August 01, 2019, 04:51:09 am »
RE: Quotes Taken from actual performance evaluations:
"Since my last report, this employee has reached rock bottom and has started to dig."
"His men would follow him anywhere, but only out of morbid curiosity."
"I would not allow this employee to breed."
"This associate is really not so much of a has-been, but more of a definitely won't be."
"Works well when under constant supervision and cornered like a rat in a trap."
"When she opens her mouth, it seems that this is only to change whichever foot was previously in there."
"He would be out of his depth in a parking lot puddle."
"This young lady has delusions of adequacy."
"He sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them."
"This employee should go far - and the sooner he starts, the better."
"This employee is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot."

I think I have worked with some of these people in the past.
Have a wonderful day!

I found and read this somewhere maybe something like a year ago.  I laughed the first time I read it and laughed a second time when I just re-read it. I have worked with people that several of these statement could have described.  The "delusions of adequacy" and "cornered like a rat" statements bring several people to mind!

Remarkably unkind remarks if they truly were used for evaluations. It would be terrible if those people ever heard them repeated.

Am I just being a snowflake?  :dontknow:

Pretty sure this is a joke and not something that was ever really used.  No, I don't think being offended by this is being a snowflake.  I have seen some pretty derogatory comments made on reviews. And IF the employee saw some of these I am sure they could take action against the employer.  Even though they think they have all these rights there are some things you cannot do or say.
