I know that if it sounds good, it will be a scam.   I do not have a lot of money and I do not want to give away  to scams.  We do learn by our mistakes.

Like most blanket statements, this is ABSOLUTELY FALSE!  :BangHead:

I have made thousands of dollars from Internet Opportunities that sounded too good to be true and if I thought everything was a scam (like some people do), I would still be flat broke!

I've been fortunate not to fall for one yet. I'm pretty paranoid so i do lots of research.

I have been a victim of an internet scam before, that is why I read completely before I do anything with the internet.

I don't know if it was a scam or not, but I bought an eBook telling me how to do something to make money. Like joining programs and it was very thorough explaining how things work with these web sites and what to expect. After I joined I found out that those programs was free to join, but I don't know if I would have found them by myself. It could be a scam.  :peace:

Why is that a scam? You paid for information and you got it. How much is your time worth to go search out all those details yourself and organize them?

I buy lots of information products that are practically worthless, but if they have one little thing included that saves me time or money I don't consider it a scam. Even if I get some good graphics I can use on other projects it's worth a few bucks to me.

I think it would be easier to eak who hasn't..lol..I bought a membership at the beginning of the year to some program (GetResponse) for like $17 to send ulimited mass emails daily to 34 million individuals.  Then Irealized I wasn't getting any results so I decided track those emails.  Guess what?? After tracking those emails I found out that it was a complete scam because nothing wasbeinbg sent out.  ZERO emails were sent. :bs:

I think you have the name confused, because Get Response is a well known and trusted autoresponder service and does not send out emails to anyone you didn't add to your list yourself.

Nope, never been the victim of a scam, but I've seen a few convincing ones in my time.

I never give out my ssn & when in doubt of a company's authenticity, I check with the better business bureau. Trust your instincts!

I haven't been scammed. in my quest to make money online, I found many sites i've considered joining, but thankfully I researched them first to find out that others had already been scammed.

Most things that people call scams are just things that didn't work for them.  I am not sayting that scams aren't out there and like some of you the closest I could call a scam is a company going belly up and not fullfilling the agreement.  I don't think at least in my experience that home based business are scams.  I know people that are making money doing so.  Those, you get out of them what you put into them.  As a rule I don't pay to join sites.  I also know people that have and only made part of their money back before giving up.  I once up-graded on a ptc.  I do not recommend that as it didn't do me much good.  Although I hear from others that it worked great for them.  So, I have never lost out of pocket money.  One site didn't hold to their promise, I was out only the money earned.  Which was only 10.00.  That was the cash out threshold and I never was paid.  I don't see them around anymore.  Other sites that I thought for sure I would give up on turned out to be the best ones I do.
