I am single.. I plan on staying that way.. I don't look at dating sites.. I have never thought about them or plan to think about them..I also do not plan on joining any in the future.. I do not belive in Dating sites and being paired or matched with a stranger that looks good on paper.. Anybody can fill out a profile anybody can lie.. You can basically write what you want on there.. i'm pretty sure alot of people are not 100% honest and even if they were.. I don't belive a computer can truelly tell you if you are compatible or not.. The reason i say this is.. You need to know them yourself to know if you are compatible. You need to know their personality, their likes, dislikes, how they act.. You need to be around them to really know what they are really like.. Sometimes someone can sound perfect.. maybe your prince charming.. then when you meet then or talk to them you think.. well they are not so perfect.. Nobody is.. But i'm saying.. Things are not always as they appear.. A profile can real you in...You have to beware of the dangers.. Some things can go great online.. Some things can't.. Some people get lucky with who they meet online.. Some can end fatall..Or not so lucky.. Be sure if you are going to meet someone online that you always meet in a public area and can be seen.. Never give out any personal information that you wouldn't want put on the internet or leaked.. And NEVER EVER meet someone without letting at least one person know where you are going.. ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE NEVER MET THEM BEFORE.. Stay safe!

I'm single and have looked at a couple sites, but never signed up for any.  I figure I'd only do that if I was seriously interested in looking for someone, but I'm really not.  I've got too many other things going on that keep me occupied that dating would simply take away from them.  I'm perfectly happy being single...at least for now.

My brother found his wife through one of the more reputable sites.  I also have other friends that use them to meet people.  They've dated a few, but nothing that lasted more than a couple months.

If you do use them, try to stick with the more reputable ones.  Also those that require some kind of monetary membership fee would probably have a better chance of having legit people seeking companionship compared with free services - as those that are scamming probably wouldn't want to pay money to scam people.

I have never went to a single's web site to find a friend or a date.  I have however checked out local single sites just to see who all had a profile on there and what it said.

I knew some friends who did it....you NEED REFERENCES! 2 times people had been deceived and completely lied to. She married a guy and found out afterward everything he said about himself was a lie...please get references....My brother married a girl from a site, and that turned out good, though.

I'm happily married but I do know of various people who have met their current partners/spouses through on-line dating. Sometimes I see people that have found love over the internet and I wonder how on earth someone so successful, nice, good looking had even struggled to fine someone before on line dating. However I think I was viewing it wrong. You see, you already have something in common with someone who is partner hunting on line in that they are in the same boat as you, they are also partner hunting. That's a good start. And with all the "search criteria" available at your disposable these days ie religion, profession, likes and dislikes, you can find someone quickly who is relatively compatable. It kind of takes out stage one and two of dating, but hey, life's too short for wasting time.

I am single and really have no interest in "dating websites".  As far as I'm concerned those places can be more of a danger than a "fun" place.  You never know who you will meet because after all, the web is a very easy place to fabricate things whether true or not.  So, just call me "old school" but I think the better way to meet someone is still "face to face"!!!!
