There are so many people who actually make a lot of money and don't save anything, it's completely bizarre.

I was sitting reading the bible one night I read all the way through Noah and the Arc. Well In the days that God made Adam and Eve, he made other people, animals, day night, all life right? Well he found that the world was corrupt in the days of Noah and his family so he found favor in Noah and had the ark animals and Noah his wife, his sons and their wifes. My question is what happened when God only left these people isn't there incest in order to repopulate the world? Doesn't that mean that we are all related and descendents from Noah? So are we marrying our kin? I don't mean to offend anybody just a few questions I though would be good to clarify.  :angel12:

Considering there are whites/Blacks/Asians/Latino/Native Americans and so on...we can see this story is False.
That wouldn't necessarily make the story false. It's not believing in evolution that makes it so obviously false.
Oh, and that's not "yet another attack on Christians," some Christians do believe in evolution.

I don't know of any Christian that believes in the Evolution theory.  They do believe in science of discovery, and that science points to a Creator (Google: "A Case For A Creator" and "A Case for a Savior").  The more science delves into the human body, and the world around us, they realize that all this did not happen by chance, or evolved into who and what we are today.

Any Christian I know believes in the Creation Theory that is spoken of in the book of Genesis.....not evolution.  There are many threads in "Debate and Discuss" that cover this extensively.....very extensively.  If your interested, you can go read them for yourself.  They are quite in depth.

Well I do. My Biology professor for example believes in evolution and he is Episcopalian. I'm pretty sure my parents both are. I've run into plenty on the internet.

Evolution A. doesn't say anything about how life was created (You can believe in evolution and still believe that God created everything) and B. has been proven to be FACT. It is happening as we type. Diseases are evolving to become resistant to more and more antibiotics. Fungi are evolving to become resistant to fungicides. Mosquitoes are evolving to become resistant to DDT.

We as Christians are not liars or making excuses.

Yes you are! You guys don't even have common sense.

Excuse me? Calling Christians liars and saying we don't have common sense shows who really doesn't have common sense. I find what you just said very insulting!

Well I am sorry but that's my opinion. You're liars because you believe in a Hell and Devil when there isn't one.
That's not lying. If they believe in something they're not lying. You need to think harder before you post. I'm not even Christian and I think you're just being ridiculous and annoying.

Off-Topic / Re: should school days be reduced from 5 to 4 days a week?what do you think?

Only if we had waaay less breaks. And even then it could make things difficult for parents who work 5 days a week.

In other countries the children are smarter than ours because they are put through more schooling, so I'm confused if you're trying to suggest that our children should be put through less.

Yay for a day off! :]

Martin Luther King Junior was cool and all, but why is he the only one that gets a day? Rosa Parks doesn't get a day, and there are so many people who got shot or arrested or whatever else defending their rights. Maybe we should have a more general day. But then the name would probably be a mouthful.. Hm..

@beat: Not just government jobs. For jobs at stores and stuff they have to keep them open because people still want to go out today. And for jobs in factories, it's much more efficient for factories to always stay running instead of shutting down for holidays.

I agree that if we ban guns people will resort to whatever else, but it couldn't hurt to put some more laws out on what kind of guns we can have and who can have a gun. Jaymz is right, you do not need a submachine gun, and surely there are people who own guns who really just shouldn't have them.

Why they think they're ready for a baby? That's different from dating. You can date as a teen and still be abstinent or use birth control.

I have a question QO9, does she address you?

Yes she still does, although each time she swears it will be the last!  Oh, and she warns people of what a god awful person I am every time.  lol   ;)

You're next!

I won't try to post anything about the Bible or God to you because you don't believe in either.  However, if you are going to verbally attack and call Christians slimy, liars, blaspheme God, etc., when I'm trying to help someone out with a spiritual question, then you will hear from me.

Nobody accused anyone of not having a belief (true or otherwise) before.  However, you chose to give that up, and now you have turned completely against God and His followers.  That is your choice, but don't expect us to sit still while the Lord that we still love with all our heart, is blasphemed and vexed with your verbal spewing every time you get a chance.

You do realize that most of this "attack" has been in your head, right?

Well, there's no system we could have where we wouldn't have to use money that would actually work. That's why.

Well, in a way. For the most part I like my life, but my current plan involves living with my parents for 6 more years while I get doctorate degree and I don't want to live with them anymore. I also don't want them to have to pay for all of that.

So right now I'm thinking about getting an internship where my boyfriend works. Basically, I'd go to school for 6 months and then have a job building, repairing and programing highly advanced robots that work an assembly line. It's not half as good pay as what I want, but I'd start getting paid within months instead of years, and I can get out of here.

I have to agree with Sflynt. You're the one arguing with everyone and deleting your own posts. It kind of says something when you're deleting your own posts even after people have responded to them.

Plus, when someone posts an opinion that hasn't been stated yet a proper response is not "OH MY GOD YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN THE BIBLE, WE GET IT." It's not as if either of us repeated ourselves in any way, shape, or form, and anyone with a brain could see that that is a very valid opinion with plenty of reason behind it. If you just want to flip when someone has a different opinion than you, then you should probably not be on forums like this.
