Off-Topic / Trouble Cashing Out
« on: June 06, 2013, 11:41:58 am »Message ID: 748307
Is anybody else having issues cashing out? I keep getting a page that says: "The website is temporarily unavailable. Please check back in a few minutes. We apologize for the delay". I have tried for almost two hours now. I suppose I will just check back later.

Hahaha that punch line was not what I was expecting. Too funny.  ;D
I can see many many people from my town being more worried about the hammer than the murders. Love it!

Remarkable that 'Seinfeld' has yet to be mentioned! Or maybe it has and I missed it, anyway, that program was 'everything' during its long run only challenged by 'Cheers'..

I cannot stand Seinfeld. I am not sure why, but it is so hard for me to even get through an episode once, much less watch reruns or multiple episodes in a row. I have tried again and again to get into it, but just can't! I usually love dry humor and little one liners, not sure what makes this show so unwatchable.

I suppose it would depend on the item that was not paid for. I know accidents happen on both sides, so if it was something small I would not pay for it. However, if it was something expensive I would make it right. Otherwise, I would feel guilty about it!

Debate & Discuss / Re: Do you think racism is still embedded in law?
« on: June 04, 2013, 02:57:18 pm »Message ID: 747399
Racism is embedded in laws that require people of different races to be hired to fill quotas. Racism is embedded in laws that make certain acts hate crimes. Both of these are wrong in my opinion. Laws that constantly draw attention to our different races make the problem stay alive in our country. Regardless of race, a person should be hired, or tried of a crime, based on the facts and not on their skin color. It drives me crazy. This problem is only magnified by people who think they are owed something by the government, or country, or other races, or whatever. And no, I am not racist. I look down on all races who take advantage of their situation and use others, without working or trying to better their lives for themselves.

Off-Topic / Re: Name Brand Or Generic
« on: June 04, 2013, 02:46:27 pm »Message ID: 747398
I buy both name brand and generic depending on the product and what prices are at that time. Peanut Butter has to be Peter Pan, laundry detergent has to be Tide, toilet paper has to be Charmin Ultra Strong. Otherwise, I look for deals and coupons and get whatever is cheapest. Unless my husband is with me, he is more picky. If he doesn't see that I'm using a different brand, he's fine. But if he sees I've gotten something different, he whines about it.

That is so sad, I hate when sudden deaths like that happen. Situations like that and all the tragedies like the tornadoes in Oklahoma really do make me reflect and think about life. It is hard not to question why things happen, if there is a reason, but sometimes you just have to try and accept that it's life and at some point we will leave this Earth. I believe if you keep faith, at some point peace will overcome you and you will see God had a plan for all of us all along.

There aren't many sitcoms I get into anymore, they just aren't what they used to be. I loved Last Man Standing (Tim Allen's new show), but I think it is already cancelled. I do watch Big Band and HIMYM, but overall I stick with Reality TV now. I know it is so dumb, but I cannot help but love it!

When I was little, yes she told me what we were all having. But as we grew up, she asked us what we wanted and would cook it for us or go get whatever we wanted. I definitely am not complaining, I love almost everything my mom cooks!

I love to read, but I could not get into Lord of the Rings. not sure why. I have read and reread Harry Potter so many times I lost count. As for the movies, I do enjoy both. But I am somewhat obsessed with Harry Potter, in fact I almost cried when I saw the Harry Potter part of the park in Universal Studios in Florida. So, it is an easy choice for me~ HP!

Off-Topic / Re: Rock ,Country, or Pop

I listen to a wide variety of music. Anything from country, to rock, to pop, to rap, to oldies; it really just depends on my mood. I'd say 90's country and 2000's pop/rock are my favorites. Although lately, I have been listening to a lot of Shinedown.

It will be interesting to see how everyone prepares for the supposed end, and then all the explanations afterwards when it doesn't. I think it will be beyond chaotic in the bigger cities, and I'm glad I won't have to deal with that mess.

Not cities, playoffs.  However, I do think Oklahoma City, Toronto, and LA could be interesting destinations for teams whether relocation or expansion.

I'd have to agree Oklahoma City would be a good idea for a new or relocated team. Their NBA team has done well and I know a lot of people who have traveled to watch, so it's probably good for the economy there. I'm from West Texas, so I'd like to have somewhere close to watch a game.

Off-Topic / Re: Does Anyone Have Any New Years Eve Traditions???

I used to have traditions with some friends, but we have all moved away and have new lives now. I'm looking forward to making new New Years' Eve traditions, though! Hope everyone has a good holiday season.
