I can't stand the taste of alcohol, so I don't drink.

I have plenty of fun without it.

I have fun with and without it but I must say it is influential when all my friends are sipping right in front of me guess in order not to it's takes will power.

There is no reason why a person can't have fun and drink,As long as a person drinks responsibly.

i use to think so when i was much younger, but now i know different.  i think we get it in our heads when we are young because of all the cool commercials for beer and alcohol.

I probably felt that way more when I was younger.  I still have fun when I drink alcohol, but I think that has more to do with the fact that I am normally with friends and family.

alcohol has created very fun, and very NOT fun
situations for me. i definitely don't need it to have
fun, but i find it enjoyable when sharing it with others
that aren't stupid  :)

Quite the opposite.  I relish in playing with my children, working out and enjoying a good movie.  Drinking upsets that balance as it leaves me lethargic, groggy and unclear as well as quite spent the next day.  Rumors come about from exploits encountered while under the influence and are generally embarassing. Alcohol, like drugs, is a poison.  Because of the nature of my jobs I do seeminly have to partake so that I may be at the same level as my counterparts but I try to bag out as much as possible.

Alcohol sucks!  It tastes gross, changes personalities, influences bad decisions, ruins lives.  It can ruin relationships and families through addiction.  Alcoholism is real and damaging.  Fortunately, there are programs to help those who are affected.

I used to, it was always  have "fun" to drink with friends, but, there was a time when it wasn't fun anymore, and it caused all sorts of problems, like me being hit by a car, and being in a wheelchair, and now my whole life is wrecked because of drinking. Yep, nope it didn't cause too much fun, that is why I am sitting home from work today because they wont' let me work because the rod in my leg moved again, making my ankle swollen and I must get a doctor's release to go back. yeah, drinken is real fun.

As I'm allergic to alcohol, I learned how to have fun without it.  When I was younger and saw friends and acquaintances getting drunk in bars/parties, I realized that those who used alcohol as a crutch to "loosen up" just acted stupid when drunk, but didn't suffer socially after the fact.  So I learned as long as you, yourself, didn't care about how people "saw" you, you could be free to have a good time and be a little stupid without it (alcohol), and like those who were drunk, people still didn't care after the fact...as long as everyone had a good time.

Plus, I also learned it was better to be the sober one with the camera!   ;D   Much, much more entertaining - hehehe.

I don't need alcohol to have fun.... But I'm a quiet person to begin with and alcohol lowers my inhibitions enough that I'm a little more talkative when I'm with my friends. As with many things in life, alcohol isn't bad in moderate amounts but becomes a problem if consumed too much. Most of my friends like to go out and drink (usually also singing karaoke or some other activity such that drinking isn't the sole activity), but we're all responsible and if we notice someone had too much, we'll cut them off and make sure they have a ride home.
