Tonsil free on Thursday the 12th
« on: April 09, 2012, 02:58:36 pm »
Just wanted to announce that for the past 40 years I've had diseased tonsils.  I was born with the Epstein-Barr virus and have had problems with mono from time to time.  I had a Dr. when I was 11 years old who told me I would "grow out of it" so I continued to deal with sore throats throughout my life.

A couple of years ago an ear, nose and throat specialist diagnosed me with obstructive sleep apnea.  He said it was at least partially due to the fact that I had monster-sized tonsils.

On Thursday of this week I'm scheduled to have a tonsillectomy.  I feel incredibly blessed to have the type of insurance that will cover the cost of this procedure.

This weekend I plan to party with some frozen yogurt while I experience pain medication.  Life is good.
Have a great day!
