I do either.  I like brand name when it comes to some items.  Otherwise, I buy generic items because they are cheaper and taste about the same as brand name.

It depends, there are some things I always buy brand names, but there are many items I buy store brand.

Yes, depends entirely on just what product I am buying. Some things just don't matter if it is generic or Brand A and some things the difference is so huge that generics just don't cut it!

Depends on what the product is that I'm purchasing. If it is on sale or I have a coupon then I'll buy the name brand. Most of the time I buy generic.

I am alot like you.  I usually only buy generic but if I have a coupon and there is a sale, I will buy name brand.

I have a few things I stick to that are name brand but for the most part I buy store brands, especially Walmart and Aldi.

I agree with twelton as well as others that it really depends on what the product is.  I prefer shopping at Aldi because everything is more affordable.  Even more so than store named/branded.  There are some things though that I just can't get past the name brand.  Oreo's are one.  But it's been 2+ years since I bought a bag of them that it doesn't matter.  Laundry and dish washing detergent are better name brand to...quality wise as far as I'm concerned but when I don't have extra $$$ for name brand I don't think twice about getting off brand instead of charmin or even angel soft.  Which these days seems to be more often than not.

There are some things that I buy that is generic.  There are also some things that has to be name brand.  My mustard has to be French's and my mayo has to be Miracle Whip.  Peanut Butter is also something that has to be a name brand.

i have never understood people attraction to brands or movie stars yes i like them but i never needed a poster or tag i do not know what they are thinking when they pay more for clothing for a name or look at a poster

depends on the item but i usually choose the lower priced item,,every penny counts
