what would you do if your computer just stopped working?

I have crashed and burned several computers ... so I have learned that any of my important stuff is stored on memory sticks ... not going to lose any more info.

Get it fixed if it is economical.  If not, buy a new one.

Just stop working...seems kind of vague but if it did happen like that it wouldn't be the end of the world.  I keep my stuff backed up and I would take it into best buy to see what was wrong.

I can't go a day without a computer.  I had an eighteen month old laptop that crashed forty five days ago.  I had oto go out and buy a new one that evening because I had a big project that I was working on. One night's wages wasted on buying a new computer but I still had another eight days worth of project that were salvaged.  I do not keep anything on my computer that I need so it isn't quite as traumatic for me.  My crashed computer needs a new hard drive which will cost me one hundred and seventy five dollars to get  but I may do it just in case this one crashes.

I simply cannot be without my desktop.  I would try to fix it myself.  If I can't fix it time for a new computer.

I can't imagine not having my computer, one time my dog chewed through the laptop charger and I freaked out and went without two days, which was miserable and my husband found one for $60 and we didn't have the money so he worked out a deal with his cousin and we paid him back as much we could and he worked off the rest.

Something like that has happened to me before. It's very traumatic. I felt like I had just lost my purse or something with all the anxiety that comes with that.

Just had that problem and had to replace computer, fortunately most of our old files were still able to be transferred from the hard drive; but best to back up!

other than for fusion cash, it really wouldnt bother me.  seems lately i've become mostly bored with things online.

Yeah i know what you mean. One of my daughters went to My Space and after that my computer went bonkers I lost everything. I had to take it in and they had to do a total erasing everything. I was so upset. I told my daughter they were banned from going on My Space again
