I agree with your friend.  After all, the only thing doctors do is MASK anything that is wrong with you by giving you POISON in the form of "MEDICINE".  I believe the more natural way to heal is always the better way so that being said, no I don't believe in "going to the doctor"!!!!!

My Dad always told me that a wise man doesn't think he knows it all, he takes the opinion and consideration of others into his decision. Therefore, would it not be appropriate to hear what a doctor has to say? A doctor has years of on the job training, years of medical school and tools at his disposal to research. I think it would make sense to hear what he has to say and then make your own mind up.

Yes I believe in going to the doctor. I am not one of those uber-religious people that believe that God will heal you through some miracle. Nor am I a Luddite that believes that man-made technology / medicine is somehow evil and that only natural methods work (esp. if you consider that the ailments that are POISONING us are usually "all natural"). I think it's a shame that so few people are educated as to the amount of study and testing that is involved with medicines, yet natural products don't need to go through such rigorous testing. As a result of the increased testing as well as the mandate (by the FDA and other government agencies outside of the US) for drug manufacturers to list ALL possible side-effects (even if such an effect cannot be directly related to the medicine), people get this misguided sense that pharmaceuticals are more toxic than natural products. In actuality, some of those natural products won't work nearly as well as man-made pharmaceuticals -- if they even work at all (if you watch any ads for natural products, there is usually the disclaimer that the product has not been evaluated by the FDA and any information or studies shown are not intended to diagnose, mitigate, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition).

I'm with your friend too.  Modern medicine is good for repairs, but natural medicine has thousands of years behind it and is hands down better at improving and maintaining our health.  We do not get sick for lack of drugs or an excess of body parts.  Our bodies are natural, biological machines and they require natural fuel.  Pharmaceuticals (and artificial food ingredients) are toxins that cause all manor of problems like ADHD, alzheimer's, diabetes and weight gain.  :P

yeah... in someway, i dont trust them, sometime, doctor is too paranoid. take too much action for 'nothing'.
Last month, dr asked me to ER, no drive due to my low hb.
Then I just stay at home, eat Fe supplement, consume chicken liver, many kind of beans, clams, and green leaves along with Vit C. Then my hb going up. No ER at all!

Once in awhile i do go to the doctor. 1 to get my flu shot and 2 if all else fails to get me to feeling better i will go in and see the doctor. But mainly just take vitamins and supplements. So much of the meds are so harmful too a person that i will refuse to take some of it. My doctor knows how i feel and she will not prescribe something  unless it is absoulte necessary.

Not going to the Dr. is good, but sometimes it is necessary to go to see a doctor if the symptoms don't get well. It is your body and you have the right to tell the health care staff "yes" or "no", but they are the one who is knowledgeable, take some opinion won't hurt.  :)

I go when I really need to, but I don't like the way they always push pills instead of finding out what is really wrong with people. I like to try natural things first, but they often don't work either. and it is confusing, because there are tons of different people pushing natural cures, and they all have a different cure for the same ailment! So who is right? I think for natural stuff to work properly, you need a doctor to figure out exactly what remedy will work for each individual, since everybody's different.

Yes I believe in going to the Doctor.  If it were not for going to the Doctor my health issue would not have been discovered and treated before it advanced to another stage.  Doctors were given the knowledge to help provide us with the right medications needed when we are sick and in pain.  There are some home remedies that work for certain things but overall I feel one needs a medical diagnosis to ensure they are being treated with the right medication for the illness they are suffering from.  But it's up to each individual to make that decision for themselves Doctor or no Doctor it's your body.  You only have one body and you should take care of it the best you can.  :peace:

Annual physicals and if you're having a major issue/sickness, yes...things like colds or headaches, no. Antibiotics can't cure viruses, and often times you can find natural cures. I don't like to take any medicine unless I really need it.

Ditto. I also want to add that not all doctors are pill pushers and some are better than others. Sometimes you have to shop around for a good doctor.
