I would rather have the dog.  I think it would be more costly to feed and store a horse.  My hubby's cousins (two of them) have horses and another cousin has a mule. :dog: :dog: :dog:  :rainbow: :rose:

I like horses but I would rather have a dog. A dog is cheaper and can travel in the car with you. A dog makes a great companion.

I have always been a horse lover.  As a kid, I had a shetland pony until I outgrew her.  Then I had a horse.  LOVED him!!!!  I rode him everyday.  When I got married, there was no way for us to keep a horse as we lived in town.

BUT, one day some friends of ours mentioned they were selling a horse and some other friends were sharing their horse knowledge with our kids in the "Horseless" 4-H project.  They agreed to board for us so we became horse owners.

Our two youngest daughters showed that horse in 4-H many years.  We eventually had 3 horses.

I have a beautiful black lab right now and wouldn't trade her for anything but if I had the money and land I would also love to have some horses. Angel would just walk along side us.

I have not been around horses much in my life but I did grow out around dogs. I agree dogs are much easier not to mention less exsensive to take care of.

Definitely a dog.  A horse is too big to have in the house and require more care.

We have two horses right now and they are both Arabians. We also have a little Australian Terrier. What a super dog. I would get another one if anything happened to this one.

I would have to say dogs.  I would love to have a horse to ride.  I think they are beautiful animals.
But I can't imagine what it would cost for food and upkeep.  Dogs can be a little expensive too but at least
they can live in the house with me.  Also they are loyal and fun and you can take them places!
