If you were in an area where you lived close to stores and could walk, would you?

I would, I don't care for driving. Well, not so much driving. I don't like traffic. People are maniacs behind the wheel here. Unfortunately the only store within walking distance here is a 7-11.

I would consider it.  Although I'd also have to take into what else I have to do and how much time that is going to take out of my day.  Am I going alone? How much do I need?

I would love to live a little bit closer to my local Walmart. You'd be surprised to hear that I only live 1 mile away, and 1 mile is certainly do-able. However there's always something heavy on my shopping list such as dog food, 24 pack diet coke, 2 gallons milk, kitty litter etc. The other day I saw an elderly gentleman coming out of Walmart with a walking stick in each hand and also a gallon of milk in each hand. He obviously was parked as close as he could to the entrance, but I watched him for a few seconds in horror worried he was going to trip over his walking sticks or drop his milk. So I rushed over with my 2 sons and offered to carry his milk to his car. He was very grateful and I was pleased to teach my kids about the right thing to do.

To be honest, no I wouldn't, which is indeed quite sad. At the same time, I compensate for my 'laziness' by working out to the max on my at-home treadmill, LOL.

Depends on what I need at the store.  Walking to and from the local grocery storeis not hard...but carrying home bags of groceries makes walking not feasible.

I walk anyway, even if I don't need to go anywhere. It's good exercise.
