Anyone else have Magic Jack?

I got mine a couple of weeks ago and love it. The voice mail is amazing and even sends messages to your email box to listen to and I can't wait to try out the conference calls.

I really want to get one, but my internet goes out all the time..if that happens won't my Magic Jack go out too?

Yes it is really good and I got the 5 year service plus the Magic Jack for under $100, then I added a $6 phone from Target and was online in minutes. If your Internet goes out, the calls go to voice mail, so they are there when you come back online. I only use mine for Internet Marketing, so it's perfect for me. I do almost all my marketing in the USA and Canada and I can call all day for free. I can also take it with me when we travel and plug it into my laptop once we get to the condo, then I have everything with me to do some business while my wife is getting ready each morning. Oh did I mention, you get free conference calling too?

I have not.  I really do not fully see the need because I already have DSL with unlimited long distance so why would I need to have it?  You have to have a phone service when you have DSL so what good is Magic Jack?  This might differ from the rules in your area but in this area you have to have phone service with DSL.

The big deal for me is keeping my business calls and voice mail separate from household calls, and I still want to try the conference calls.

I want to buy it BUT really don't understand the dsl thing or how to have internet with it...I think mc1962 explained it for me.

Plug it in and see, you do need to register it to get a phone number.
