omg, i totally need the tv on to fall and to stay asleep.

my hubby cant sleep with the tv on, (due to the light) i cant sleep with it off (due to the quiet)

the compromise:  well in the beginning, of course, i got my way and we would keep the tv on, but one night, i woke up to use the bathroom, and heard the tv on but there was no light in the room.. it was confusing to my brain.... then i realized that my hubby had draped 2 dark towels over the face of the tv.. works perfect and we both enjoy a good nights sleep.

Relax: Body and mind...then I can fall asleep faster than any other way.

Nothing special for me. I like to go on my phone for a couple of minutes before shutting my eyes, but that probably isn't very good for you.

I've been drinking turmeric tea. It helps you to sleep. Look in to it. There are many ways to do  temeric tea.

I always turn my TV on Sheperds Chapel. I love watching Pastor Murray teach from the King James Version of the Holy Bible. He is the on Pastor I know that teaches Chapter by Chapter and Verse by Verse explaining each verse so we can understand what he is reading. The Bible for a lot of people is hard to understand, but with Pastor Murray. you'll have a hard time stepping away from the TV even for a second. I love My Father in Heaven with all of my heart.  :rainbow:

I don't have a routine as my work schedule bounces back and forth between shift .. 3 out of 5 shifts are day/early evening shifts but 2 of my shifts are from 7:30 pm to 2 am.

Generally I fall asleep within minutes of laying my head down.

I often have trouble both falling asleep and staying asleep.  I do need to fall asleep with the TV on low sound, so I can just barely hear it. No other noise.  I put it on a timer so that it turns off in several hours.  I also have to have a cool, comfortable temperature.  No other lights on.  I sometimes take an over the counter or prescription sleep aid.  The over the counter ones don't work as quickly.  I don't answer my phone but turn it on vibrate/low.  I rarely use my computer after about 9 p.m.  I don't exercise late as that is stimulating to me.  I have to sleep alone because I can't stand snoring or someone who moves around a lot.  Yes, I am picky, picky, picky.

I hate to say it but my sleep is all over the place for a number of reasons. I am actually writing these posts now because I can't sleep.

I pray until I fall asleep.  Really that is it - I say the Lords prayer,  Psalm 23 and the prayer of Jabez and then my personal prayers for my family, friends and even those who have come against me as the bible says we are to do.  It seems like I don't pray very long before I am out like a light lol.
