Coronavirus
« on: February 26, 2020, 11:38:03 am »
Hate to even do a post about this certainly don't want to be a fear monger but is anyone else concerned about this besides me?  I try to remain positive about just about everything but this seems to be expanding.  Looked at masks online today and most places sold out and those who weren't were price gouging.

At this point I am not to concerned about it. The media loves scaring the public and making it look like an epidemic.  I am more concerned about the Flu and deaths than the coronavirus at this point.

So many people already infected...it is pathetic!
The health regulations should read: If you are infected...
   please, do not visit us!

It is true that over 8000 people have already died from the flu this year in the US more than have dies from the corona virus world wide. But we still must be careful - with all the planes flying all over the world it is only a matter of time before it gets to the United States.

I'm not overly concerned about the virus. Wash your hands, avoid being around sick people, and take supplements to boost your immune system. That's about all you can do to prevent catching it.

I'm not very concerned.  I take my vitamins, wash my hands and try to stay away from people as much as I can.  Haven't even had a cold in like two years.  I have an Italian friend who is living in England temporarily and she is really scared because of all the cases in Italy.  She's thought about asking her ex whom she is just good friends with to come to England to stay with her.

I really don't know anything about this Virus; how it came about or how it spread. Some say, the Chinese was experimenting on people & accidently let it out into the populations. So say, it's an advanced, stronger form of the Flu. The symptoms very closely mimic the Flu! It's very contagious because all you have to do is breath it in. My Big bro in the Philippines is banning the family from visiting bc it has reared it's ugly head in their shores! The virus thrives in the cold season but people who head to the Philippines whating to experience the warmth there unknowing bringing with them this virus easily spread in crowds & compact air craft space. Be careful everyone this virus is a silent killer with no racist discrimination in it's nature!

You cannot find them in the area I live in. As soon as they hit the shelves they are gone. One person buys them all. And apparently are selling on ebay.  I saw some on Amazon for $700.  If it gets that bad I will just stay at home.

Washing your hands does not keep you from getting sick. When people cough and sneeze and blow snot and slobber across the room - those germs are in the air.  You do not absorb the germ through the skin on your hands.  I have worked more than one place that everyone was sick and so was I.  No matter how many times I washed my hands.

If someone coughs or sneezes into their hands and touches a door handle and then you touch it, I would think you could catch whatever that person has. That is why washing your hands helps prevent you from getting sick.

The point is everybody screams wash your hands and you won't get sick.  You cannot wash your hands every 3 seconds.  And this crap is airborne. Common sense tells you that.  Esp this particular virus but so is the common cold as well as the flu.  I see idiots all the time coughing and sneezing and not covering their mouth. There is a woman at church who works at the hospital and she coughs all the time and never covers her mouth.  She has been really sick several times this winter.  When you cough and sneeze you blow spit drops in to the air. People breathe in the germs and they get sick. I do not cough or sneeze in to my hands. And frankly it amazes me that it is just now being figured out that doing so was a bad idea. smh

It's almost like the zombie virus outbreak you hear about in books and on tv.
I'm worried about it because you don't know where it'll strike next
