Paganism...isn't that a perversion of religion, like worshipping the devil witchcraft and all that?  ??? It isn't my place to Judge, that's up to God. But I would never make friends with someone who doesn't respect my religion, or who i can't see any evidence of having good religious standards. Choose your friends wisely! It's not judging, it's protecting your values, you wouldn't make friends with a man who beats his wife, so you shouldn't make friends with a man who disrespects God. Nuff said.

1. one of a people or community observing a polytheistic religion, as the ancient Romans and Greeks.
2. a person who is not a Christian, Jew, or Muslim.
3. an irreligious or hedonistic person.

Isn't that judging in itself? What defines a "good" religious standard in each culture? I understand you're trying to protect your values and there's nothing too wrong with that, but thinking deeper...you might learn something when someone questions your values. I used to be christian growing up and I defended it up until my "pagan" friends would argue with me over it. Over time they asked me questions (some mean, but philosophical nonetheless) that made me sit back and think of what they're trying to say. Eventually I realized what I was defending generally made no sense at all and I ended up abandoning it. Infact it was putting stress into my life that wasn't needed which was making me angry. My life improved dramatically and I have them to thank for it. They're some of the best and brightest people I've ever met despite them not having a religion which made me conclude it is not necessary to have a religion in order to be happy (despite what the morons say).

I look back at how I used to think and it makes me laugh. I know a few people who are super-christians and they're usually the ones who introduce it into a topic out of no where and when we start arguing, they will not come out of their box. I see it on this forum all the time too!

I wouldn't make friends with the beater, but I would make a friend out of a man who questions god even if the questions are disrespectful.

And I fav'd that youtube video, walksalone. good stuff.

I myself am jewish and I like to think of myself as a "smart" money spender rather than a cheap but those jerks out in the world still throw coins or shake thier money in thier pockets to be comeplete jerks. It is not my fault that I like to actually save my money or find a good deal on things but yeah.... :crybaby2:

Ok, I've read some crazy & stupid comments on here. I do not judge anyone on religion, just as long as you don't question my beliefs, try to push your beliefs on me, or tell me I'm wrong. Nor would I stay away from someone based on their religion just because they didn't share my beliefs. If everyone did this, no one would get along outside of religions.

Look how many different religions there are. Not everyone can be right, but all that matters is that it's right for YOU!!

How can you blindly follw something that is clearly single handily destroying our existence..? anyone know about the "Laws of Attraction"? cause we're all connected by a magnetic force, so you are making nature off balance, with all these different mindsets, we all need to be at one level of conciousness...i believe we would be able to live alot longer and healthier...

also how come the bible never mentions anything about ETs, or life on other planets... there has to be...

I think less of anyone of another religion.  I enjoy the diversity and all of the many different beliefs (even if I do not believe them or think they are kind of out there for me to believe in), and really I don't care if you pray to a two headed purple god with Twizzlers for horns who likes you to give offerings of Pixie Sticks, if you aren't hurting yourself or anyone else, then what does it matter?

I don't judge religions, I just have criterion for what a religion is.

for example, paying to succeed in a religion is a complete farce. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scientology

people should judge people for who or what they are, and who they believe in.

ahhh I didn't even read this...i was kind of in a hurry when i replied.

I guess the question is. Whats the difference from being "right" or being "factual"? Is it ok to provide facts that counter someones belief? or should they be left to be misled with incorrect information? Hard to make educated decisions for yourself when not having all information, or having a bit of bad information to base your decisions off of. (just ask politicians! )

Of course things like "there is or isnt a god" cannot be argued as there are no 'facts' to prove or disprove.

It wouldnt be save to hold that attitude if your friend/daughter etc was hanging out with Jim Jones and a bunch of kool aid yelling "its my belief! Who are you to judge!" hehe

And partaking in symbolic cannibalism every Sunday so you can have the devil removed from inside you isn't a complete farce?

well if u think abt it and look at it closely all religions really r the same  :dontknow:

Not even close.

the bible says Judge not least you be judged.  I believe everyone has a right to his or her own opinon but should be willing to listen to what others say as well. Not everyone believes the same as me and I am more than happy to listen to what you say about your "god". Christmas celebrates the birth of My Lord and Savior. Thanksgiving is about giving thanks to God for your blessing  and trials that you recieved throughout the year
