Wow that's a very nice first date experience story.  You are a very lucky girl to have parents that hold traditions and to have gone out with a young man who's respectful.  My first date wasn't suppose to happen.  My parents didn't allow any of us to date until we were 16 or 17 years old.  But because my father was sick he wanted to see me experience my first date so, homecoming, prom etc... he let it slide.  I went to Prom with a Senior when I was a freshman.  Captain of the football team and oh just gorgeous.  We went to the same church although I didn't know him personally.  He too was respectful.  My daughter hasn't had her official first date.  I'm completely at peace with that.
