I would never pay that much for a phone that could be stolen or lost so very easily. I'm hoping to upgrade my iPhone from a 5 to a 6 now though since I should be able to get a good deal on that.

So, I'm sure many of you recently have heard about Apple's new fancy iPhone X (10), worth $999. What are your thoughts on this? Anyone considering to buy it?  :o

999 is too much money for a phone. Mine cost 290 and I'm still paying for it a year later! Who could afford that sort of thing?

I have heard of the fancy  new luxury phone but will not be purchasing one. I have been an iphone user for about six years for a variety of reasons: the phone is well put together and durable (my last one lasted five years before my son destroyed it); they do not appear to be a target for hackers; software applications used to be more abundant; and I have been accumulating shares in Apple (I always buy shares in a product that I believe in) so having the product that makes me money on the market makes sense to me. I replaced my last phone with another iphone that only cost two hundred dollars because it was last year's model. I feel somewhat certain that apple will release a lower cost alternative at or slightly after the luxury phone roll out.

(looks around) I would.  Mine you I saved up for it through survey sites like these and long overdue to change my handset.  And I get a good discount through work.

It's just a waste of good money. 999 is way too much for a phone.

I doubt this is true.  I saw the stated prices for other iPhones and most people get them for a lot less.  To answer the question NO I will not ever pay $1000 for a phone.  But it is actually way more than a phone.  It is a computer in your pocket so it is probably worth it.  But I would make sure to invest in a high quality protective case because most people bounce them off a wall by the 2nd day they are carrying them.

amazing how much these phones cost now and how many people are willing to buy them at this price.  Way too expensive for me.

I do love iphones. However, I have a 6s plus which works great and I plan to keep using it. I keep my iphones at least 3 or 4 years then upgrade. By then the price will be much lower.

I am not sure how it could be lost very easily.  Maybe I am just more responsible and take care of my things.
