I always get creeped out by Pet Sematary. The child back from the dead wasn't that scary, it's the part with the wife's sister calling "Rachel Rachel". Brr

I think the scariest movie ever made was "Drag Me To Hell." If you are into some good old screaming and getting the willys, watch it. I dare you.

The Birds, because that seems like something that could really happen.

Aliens, The Thing (scariest monster concepts EVER!), and...a lot of zombie movies including the original Night of the Living Dead. Still pretty scary to this day.

the sad thing about "scary" movies now-a-days is that they are mainly of the "torture *bleep*" genre and try to gross you out as opposed to genuinely trying to scare you.

However, more on topic, I guess the scariest movie that I have seen was Arachnophobia, because... well... I have arachnophobia.  Other than that, the original Nightmare on Elm street freaked me out when I was a child... I remember a couple of nights where I just didn't want to go to sleep. lol
