I hope you are over this soon too.  Was sick myself yesterday and today.  Think because this weather changes hot to cold, hot to cold in Florida.  Drink plenty of fluids.  Stay hydrated.

People always say that but the change in temp outside cannot make you sick.  You have to get the germs.  The issue at least where I live is people go to work sick. Mostly because they do not have a choice. Then people will be close to death and they will go to Walmart.  And most people are rude buttheads and cough all over the place and never offer to cover their mouth.

That's so true.  People do to go work sick, there are times when they have no choice.  Then there are people would cough or sneeze almost in your face.  Last week I was at the grocery store and my cashier was hacking and her eyes were watering.  She said she had allergies which I doubt.  Anyway I was planning on paying cash which would have had her give me change until I saw her nose running and she calmly wiped it with her hand.  Needless to say I changed my mind and used a debit card instead.  How gross!

You are not being unreasonable.  I love my parents and I love my husband they love each other, but there are times I want to be alone with my folks, as does he with his parents.  Your son should understand girlfriends and wives can come and go, but you will only have one mom and one dad.  As hitch said, honor your parents.  Hopefully he will realize this soon.

My father was killed in an accident when I was 10 and my sister was 2.  I remembered and missed him, my sister has no memory of him so never missed him.  it can be hard to miss something you don't remember and didn't know.

It's always hard when we lose a beloved pet. Somehow the idea that they are no longer suffering doesn't make it any better, does it?

Maybe it's too soon, but consider honoring the memory of you cat and adopt another one in need of a home. It's not replacing if you are saving the life of a shelter cat who might not have much time.
That is really a good suggestion and i almost did it right after we lost Penny this past July. When i see and hear some of the animal cruelty stories you dont know how i wish i had the power to help them all.But the fact we could save 1 is still an accomplishment.I know we saved Penny from a horrible life and what a turn around she had for 10 yrs.I just wish it could have been a few yrs more.

Hitch, I was like you, praying Harry would die so I wouldnít have to make the decision, but he didnít.  I promise I will get another cat, but I want to wait until Heidy passes.  The vet said in a few weeks.  It will be 2 more rescues with sad stories.  I hate to say this, as people will roll their eyes, but I have 5 dogs and usually 10 to 12 cats.  Yes, before anyone objects they are all taken excellent care.  Up to date on shots, cats are indoor only, I have 1 acre of fenced in yard so dogs can run.  Actually, can anyone else say they have their vetís home and cell #.  I have sadly had to call in the middle of the night and once on Easter and was met at the hospital, so they are loved and taken care of, so please donít anyone write and blast me for having too many.
Nancy i am sure many here and myself ever doubted how well ALL the animals are loved!!!

YOU GO girl!!!

Just remember theres much  work involved besides the rewards.Dont over extend yourself either.

Love covers a multitude of sins and i am sure you have Gods approval for his creation.

Thank you Hitch!  I appreciate it more than you know.

hitch, I'm really not sure how old they are.  All my pets (dogs and cats) are rescue.  We got Harry (the one who died) from a shelter a few cities away.  He came to us with kidney problems.  We knew he would eventually die from this, but we didn't want him to spend his remaining years in a cage.  He was SO happy when we brought him home after spending 4 years in a cage.  I swear he walked non stop around the house for 2 days and was so excited to look out of Windows and see birds, rabbits, etc.  We had him for 3 years.  Heidy (cancer) got her from a shelter about 3 hours away.  Found her in petfinder. Another sad story.  Our vet estimates Harry about 13 years and Heidy about 14.  We were told vets can be pretty sure with young and senior pets, but the middle of the road is just an educated guess.  I know you understand the loss of a pet and I hope you and your wife heal soon.

Yesterday I had to put my one cat down.  He had end stage kidney failure and there was nothing they could do.  I had him at my vet and an emergency/specialized vet.  I'm also dealing with another one of my cats who has pancreatic cancer.  Took her to my vet and an oncologist at a specialized hospital and got the same answer, nothing they can do.  So far she's ok, but it's a waiting game with her.

Not surprised, the wealthy think they can buy anything and are above the law.  Nail time, never happen, probably just a slap on the wrist and a fine (like they can't afford that!)
